Motorcyclist seriously injured in crash on South Bend’s south side.

A motorcyclist is seriously hurt after a crash involving a car and a motorcycle on Tuesday evening on South Bend’s south side.

The crash happened just before 5 p.m. outside of the entrance to the Lafayette Falls subdivision, which is located at Kern Road and Armstrong Drive.

Police say the motorcyclist was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, but they are not believed to be life-threatening.

A portion of Kern Road was closed for roughly three hours after the crash, which remains under investigation.
